In 1937 Marion Johnston's and Grace Whiten's
Peggy's Cove Tea Room and Craft Shop was the first public
art gallery or studio in the east coast fishing village of Peggy's
Cove,
Nova Scotia. They rented an abandoned shack with a dramatic history

The second Marine Studio is the last remaining
building on the
end of the cove.
Across the road is Beales' Bailiwick Fashion &
Art Shop <<<,
in the location of
the first Marine Studio's small shack which was demolished
by a storm in 1964.
The shack was lifted across the road from the end of the cove by
a storm in 1898.

used in Marion's and Grace's Peggy's Cove Tea Room and Craft Shop,
