20-30 new films a year, shot & shown on super 8!
Annual in Regina, Saskatchewan since 2000. Recent attendance:150.

One Take was founded by Alex Rogalski, while studying film at the University of Regina, and working with the National Student Film Festival. Alex now lives in Toronto, so he has been assisted in Regina by Robert Pytlyk, and in Montreal by Brett Kashmere and Michael Rollo. They were all undergraduates together at the University of Regina, and Brett and Michael now work in film at Concordia University. (onetakesuper8event@yahoo.com)

Artists pay $25 for film & processing (at Exclusive lab in Toronto), provide their own or borrowed cameras, and have 6 weeks to shoot. They aren't allowed to edit or view their film before the public screening. All films are shown. No prizes.
