On The Street Where She Lived (1995, super 8, colour, 3.5 minutes, sound on film)

Commissioned by Pleasure Dome Artists' Film Exhibition Group, Toronto,
for a screening themed "Music from Your Puberty".

Using the pop song On the Street Where You Live, recorded by Vic Damone in 1956, as background music, John narrates his adolescence story of going with a friend on a long bike ride in Toronto in search of a girl's street.
He illustrates the story with old snapsots, 50s & 60s memorabilia, and a map of Toronto.

A rare "narrative" film from John, with a script, shot silent, edited in-camera, and the sound mixed and recorded later.
