John and his friends Paul McGowan and Tom Urquhart paddling a canoe, and dancing with the camera which views them from out in front of the canoe, attached by a long post.

With the camera running at two seconds per frame, one roll of film captures a whole tour of the lagoons among Toronto Harbour's cluster of islands, as well as a swimming break.

The title is a reference to Colin Brunton's short film A Trip Around Lake Ontario (1984).
